I know choosing favorites can be a little childish, however everyone usually has a special car that tugs at the heart strings. It was harder than pulling teeth or picking a favorite child but in the end I narrowed it down to the car that I THINK is my favorite. With money as no object my irrational petrol head decision would have to be the Shelby Daytona. Because racecar
I know there is only 6 and I know the car cost multiple millions of dollars. The way I see it though 5 million dollars for a car that kicked the GTOs ass is a small price to pay (You see I never did like old man Ferrari). Another reason this car is one of my favorites is the classic looks. Long hood, short rear end, the cars looks to me represents the essence of perfection. Of course design is subjective but the car is tight and muscular, the Daytona looks like it's straining to break free and gallop to over 200 miles an hour as soon as you turn your back.
The Daytona represents classic American engineering and the automotive world at it's very best. The best things come from grudge matches and feuds and that's how God gave us the Daytona. As famously quoted in Talladega Nights, "America is all about speed. Hot, nasty, badass speed." The Daytona embodies this quote perfectly and with a high power 289 Ford engine under the hood, the Daytona is more American than apple pie.
TLDR- My favorite car is the Shelby Daytona what is yours and why??

2003-04 Mustang Mach 1 - I fell in love with this car at age 12 and it still stands as my favorite Mustang. The 2012 Boss 302 is a close second, followed by the 67-68 Fastback. The Mustang in general is my favorite car, but the Mach is the one I want more than any other.
I absolutely love the 1970 Road Runner. Other years don't do it for me quite like the 70 does. The body style is just right. As for the reason, I've had a Hot Wheels 70 Road Runner since I was about 12 or so and for some reason it's remained one of the favorites in my collection and in real life.
1977 Trans Am - Because Smokey and the Bandit. One of my all time favorite moves and cars.
I find it incredibly hard to pick one car I lovd more than any other, but the Mach would have to be it.

1999 Subaru WRX STi coupe
Made before the Impreza started to get heavy and fat. It had a more rigid frame than the sedan version, has a short wheelbase, a close ration rally hardened 5 speed manual gearbox, no electronic traction or stability control and the RA models came without ABS as well, DOHC 2.0L turbo flat 4 that revs to 8k, on top of one of the best AWD systems ever made with a suspension not afraid of going off the beaten path.

If I "HAD" to pick a favorite it would be an 05-06 Ford GT. I have seen many, heard many, and ridden in/driven briefly a few. It would be white or charcoal grey with no stripes. There would be turbos. The cars are just soooo elegant yet aggressive looking and pay homage to the classic GT40 very well. I would just drive until the wheels fell off.
My second would definitely be a Miura SV....in my opinion the most beautiful and sexy car ever made. Make mine royal purple with the gold factory mags. Sex on wheels.

1932-1934 Ford Pickups. I grew up in one and now I own that pickup but I would love to have a couple more.
1968 Camaro SS/RS- my first car that I still own today, only thing better would be a real deal Yenko.
1955 Chevy- what can't the car do? Original, gasser, pro street, pro touring, custom, cruiser...etc. the 55 Chevy looks good no matter they style or flavor you go with it.

Yeah that's right I said it. Tar and feather all you want, these things are some of the best cars ever made, again. And I literally have a physical reaction every time I see one in real life or on a screen. I want one more than anything, and hopefully with some hard work I will be able to make that happen in the near future.

The Daytona Coupe is an excellent choice, truly one of the greatest racecars in history. It's beauty never fails to amaze me. How did something designed with no concern for aesthetics end up so gorgeous?
My favorite car is and always will be the Cobra roadster. Preferably in 427 S/C guise. I fell in love with cars at the age of 14 when I saw an issue of Musclecar Review with a 427 S/C on the cover. It is a car that, to me, always embodied what was great about America in that it was the result of improving an existing design (the Ace) and then deciding that (the small-block Cobra) wasn't good enough. It's completely over the top, a caricature of a car, a cartoon, but it is perfect in every way. I once read a description of driving one the said something like "it's hot, it's loud and the car tries to kill you at least once every few miles". How could someone not lust after it?

Aww the Daytona's crazy ass 427 bother. It's a brawny get the hell out of my way kind of car. Faster than anything back in the 60's. If I had the money this great American car would be sitting right beside the Daytona. Shelby made some amazing cars. I just wish they were cheap enough for me to buy!

I understand what you mean by the incredibly hard to pick one car! And I would have to agree with you on all three of these cars, the 70 roadrunner is the best year, the bandit trans am is a movie star all it's own, and the mach one with the shacker is the best mustang from the 90s-04 era. You're lucky your dream cars are semi-cheap!

Daytona Coupe as well, closely followed by the '65 GT350R, the later 289 FIA Cobras with the 427 flares and no side pipes, and the GT40 MK1. I'm kind of a Shelby nut.
I actually got to meet Pete Brock this past summer. I am working as part of the team restoring 1965 GT350R SFMR002, aka the very first Shelby Mustang. The owner was able to get nearly all of the surviving employees and team members together for interviews. Mr. Brock was there and personally went through all of the historical photographs with us, showing all the details and modifications on 002 as well as some of the design that went into the Daytona. It was absolutely surreal. Such a fantastic individual.

Plus there are just so many cars out there. Even a top 10 list is hard for me to do. Most of my dream cars are pretty attainable, I've never been into super cars. My main interest has always been muscle cars but I like a bit of everything. I love Alfas, Porsches, alot of 80s and 90s Japanese cars, Audis, I love fast compacts, but supercars don't do that much for me. Certain ones, yeah, but not as much as cars that cost alot less.

This is a terrible, torturous question. For a lot of us it verges on the impossible; how does anyone take a lifetime of enthusiasm and somehow strip it away to a singular core?
Somehow, not too long ago, I think I finally rested on one, though:

Yea,the chances for that to happen are very slim.I don't like what Renault did with Dacia.Back in 1998,when Dacia needed a new owner,Renault won in front of Volkswagen, and when I look at Skoda nowadays,I think that if VW had won back then,Dacia would be a much more respected brand now.

Yes and Dacia became Renault's budget brand, unlike Skoda which makes good cars now, especially the Superb, which altough ugly,is even offered with a 3.6l V6 now.Meanwhile Dacia is still making budget cars like the Logan And Sandero.Renault is even destroying Datsun now by making it a budget brand.

Well mine has a dropped axle and a 12 bolt Chevy rear end with parallel leaf springs. It's a little solid but that's what to expect in a old hot rod. Steering is pretty nice die to adding a vega box and cross steer. Parking lots are a little harder but not too bad.

This is an extremely tough question. I don't even think it would be that easy to pick 1 favorite car for each model year. But if I had to choose one car to rule them all, it would definitely be an '87 Buick Gran National GNX. It just checks all of my automotive boxes. A beastly performanc classic that was somehow born in the middle of the boring malaise era. Just look at it, awesome.
